Synthflow, a Berlin-based startup founded last year, has secured $7.4 million in seed funding, bringing its total funding to $9.1 million. The startup focuses on providing AI voice assistance platforms tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), aiming to automate repetitive tasks and enhance productivity.
Synthflow has quickly gained traction, approaching 1,000 customers with double-digit monthly growth rates since its launch in December 2023. This growth underscores SMEs’ interest in leveraging generative AI tools for streamlined operations and productivity gains.
Technology and Offering
The platform offers a browser-based “no code” tool that allows SMEs to create AI-driven voice agents without needing technical expertise. These agents are designed to handle tasks such as call handling, appointment scheduling, FAQ responses, and information extraction from customer inquiries.
Synthflow builds its AI models upon OpenAI’s GPT and supplements them with proprietary AI, training them on specific customer use cases. The system operates by converting speech to text, processing it through AI models, and returning synthesized voice responses, thus automating inbound call processes effectively.
The startup emphasizes enhancing operational efficiency without displacing human roles, instead enabling SMEs to redirect human resources to more complex tasks. This approach aims to optimize customer interactions, reduce missed opportunities due to call handling limitations, and integrate seamlessly with existing CRM systems.
Future Development
Future plans include expanding language support beyond English to German and French, further integrating with third-party software, and developing capabilities for live data actions during calls, such as inventory checks.
Led by Singular with participation from Atlantic Labs and AI-focused investors, Synthflow plans to use the seed funding to enhance product capabilities, expand its customer base, and explore new AI-driven solutions for SMEs.
In essence, Synthflow aims to democratize AI voice assistance for SMEs, enabling them to harness the power of AI without technical complexity, thereby boosting operational efficiency and customer engagement.
